Being 22

I thought big things happened when you turned 22... But really that's not exactly true. I don't feel any different but it is weird to say "Ya, I'm 22 years old." Kind of makes me feel too old for college.

I spent this special day not doing anything really out of the ordinary except having a delicious dinner. Andrew and I went to one of the CLASSIC O'Connor Family faves, Carney's. It's a fun place to go because it is in West Hollywood for one, but also because you dine in a

TRAIN! It is not exactly healthy, but it is delicious with the grease and all.

After lunch we went and got some carmel apples from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Westwood... It is one of my favorites but is often forgotten by many I think because it is kind of hidden among the bigger restaurants surrounding it.

With our carmel apples stuffed into my purse, we snuck them into the movie "Soul Surfer." It was about Bethany Hamilton, a courageous girl who makes me want to forget my fear of sharks (yeah right!) It was pretty good, but let me tell you Carrie Underwood... CANNOT act!

After the movie we jetted over across town to Santa Monica for our reservation at BOA Steakhouse. It was SOOOOO good. We both got the filet and shared a side of mashed potatoes, then they came out with a sparkly dessert which we ate immediately. (If you are looking for a FREE dessert for your birthday, go there!)

It was nice to get all the phone calls and texts and of course Facebook notices of people wishing me a happy day.

I still have yet to celebrate with my family--- I hope my mom cooks!

I know with everything going on every day it is a struggle sometimes--- and sometimes I let situations get the best of me.

But I know for everyone around me and for myself, happiness is key.

So everyday I have all my best friends around to lift my spirits even if it is only through text but I have him everyday to somehow make me laugh.

Vegas

We drove there at 5 PM on Friday... The drive took about 7 hours because of traffic (Yes, a trailer blew up and stopped everyone--but it left lots of time for us to do our nails!)

We get to the Mirage and who is walking in? The Kardashian family for Rob's birthday... So we see them and then check-in. The best part is when we checked in we got upgraded to a suite.

This wasn't any ordinary suite-- It was LUXURIOUS! We were so stoked and happy. We pranced around and listened to music before buckling down and getting ready.

We went out to a variety of clubs and ended up staying up all night until 730. To my dismay, I couldn't sleep-- I was up all day and unfortunately until Sunday morning at 3 AM.

On Saturday morning we ventured to our other hotel the Hard Rock. I was not impressed at all.. but it was still fun!

We drove home on Sunday morning, I was exhausted but Shawnie was a champ and drove both ways.

All in all it was really fun and I'm so lucky to have Shawnie as a amiga.

So it has been a minute since I have updated my blog... My apologies.

A lot has happened since March 1, 2011:

I made it through Finals of Winter Quarter

I got 2 As and 2 Bs.

Spring Break flew by...

I went to Vegas with Shawnie.

I spent time with my momma.

I dog sat for my sister.

I went to Grayson's Wedding Reception in California.

I visited Orange County to see Sara and Andrew.

I worked at Bandera, as usual.

Spring Quarter started...

It is my last quarter at UCLA. I have had moments of "thank god its over" and then moments of "I have no clue what I am going to do... someone save me"

This quarter has been a challenge for me.. I love my classes, but at the same time I am facing one of those monumental times in my life where you have to decide what you want to do and how you are going to accomplish it while still having classes. It is all summed up in the word "Crappy."

I'm trying hard every day to figure it all out. Few more specific posts to come with pictures!

I am lucky enough to have multiple best friends... and tomorrow is Bree Marlin's 22nd Birthday!

Bree and I were roommates last year in our tiny triple dorm room at UCLA... Funny enough we met at orientation and thought how funny it would be if we were roommates... And when September rolled around we found out we were going to spend the next 9 months sleeping across from each other. Bree is one of the most caring and loving people in my life. I have leaned on her many times and she ALWAYS knew how to make me smile. I miss having her to fall asleep to and wake up to every morning. I love you Bree so very much and I hope tomorrow is a perfect day! And remember... Calories don't count on your birthday :)

Happy Birthday Shawn Anderson aka Shawnie aka Shawnathin aka Thinny! She was born 24 years ago and stumbled into my life a little less than a year ago. Thanks to some boys in our past, we were able to become friends and have realized more and more how much alike we are. She is like another big sister. Shawnie is moving on with her life in the best of ways and I am so proud of her. She got a new job, new apartment and I am hoping a new kitty! ;) Happy birthday to one of my best friends, my big. I am so proud of you and everything you are doing with your life. Thank you for being you the funny, smart, high spirited person you are!

So this quarter... I just breezed on by the first 6 weeks but now its 8th week and I am slammed. I have two papers due by Wednesday morning and afternoon and I have yet to really accomplish them.

One requires 10 pages and the other 6 pages. I am not ready for this... I am procrastinating right now as I type this. I am guessing I should get to it, but ahhh!

Only THREE more weeks, I can make it.

Being Home

After a wonderful getaway in Utah I received the gift of Pink Eye. Ew. I woke up one morning and could not open my left eye. Naturally of course, I freaked out and went straight to the doctor. I got the WEIRDEST doctor the UCLA Ashe Center had to offer... but in the end he got me my eye drops and now my eye is on the mend!

Really what this post is about is my coming home and not having Missy Moo Buns. I dropped her off at home before I left for Utah because my roommates weren't going to be at the apartment the whole time. But after coming back to California I didn't have the spare time to go back to Newbury Park and pick Buns up. So, she stayed with my mom at home. I had not seen her in over a week. She is like my drug, I had withdrawals. One of my friends was sending me videos of bunnies that look just like Missy and it made me miss her even more.

So I woke up this morning packed my laundry and drove home to get my bunny. I came home and screamed for her and found her in her cage looking chubby as ever. I opened her cage door took her out and she just nuzzled me. Now, if you know Missy she is not much of a nuzzler if she hasn't had lots of exercise. I expected her to be freaking out and running away... But no. She just let me hold her and kiss her and be obnoxiously loving.

I love my bunny and I am excited to have her back in Los Angeles with me.

I also was greeted today by a cutie patootie pup. Lucy. She is a golden retriever my mom took in after a friend could no longer keep her where they were living. She is so loving and cute. She nicely jumped up and gave me Lucy kisses and hugs. She also, has a thing for stuffed animals. We call them her babies. She carries them in her mouth wherever she goes. My mom has spoiled her and the poor thing probably wonders which baby she should carry (seeing as she has about 8). But she was holding her new baby which is a brightly colored worm.

I think the moral of all these stories is I will have a farm when I grow up. It is a joke between a friend of mine and I that I will have a farm of a bunny, baby goat, dog, cat and five children. And really I can't deny that the whole idea sounds splendid :). So I can't wait to have my farm one day.

Weekend Away

This past weekend I went to see my best friends. It was the perfect getaway minus the fact it was FREEZING.

I used to live in Provo, UT my freshman year of college. Whenever I go back I get to enjoy some of my favorite things Utah offers: Chocolate Milk, Chocolate Donuts, Zupas, Fry Sauce and Gurus. There are so many other places I love as well, but I couldn't make it to every favorite.

Seeing Kerry was refreshing. My best friend since forever. She knows me too well sometimes. And we always have the best time together. I got to spend time with my favorite boys as well, Blake, Nick, Nate, Scott, Dave, Jp and Jake.

Its weird to go back there and have so much fun--but its a different kind of fun it seems like. I cried from laughing so hard, nearly peed my pants. I love my friends there sometimes I wish I could just teleport there for little moments.

I love that quote by Abe. He truly was an amazing man and said great things and made incredible changes for the United States... But this quote is something I live by every day. I read it every morning on my phone to remind myself of who I want to be.

Going to college, growing up and influences in general can cloud the vision who you are inside and what you aspire to be. I know I am in the midst of "growing up" (as my good friend Amy likes to say to me) but I know what I want to be. And bottom line- I want to be a good person. I want to wake up every morning knowing I did my best to be good and make not only myself happy but others, too.

All gloating aside, when my friends say to me "Shann, you're such a good person and friend... anyone is lucky to have you in their life or know you" it makes me feel like a million bucks.

I know there have been moments when I am not that perfect friend, because life happens. But lately, I have realized there is nothing more rewarding than knowing you are a good person and a good friend.

I have a lot of younger people as my friends- being in college age doesn't seem to matter in friendships... And I know that there are so many influences and pressures on young women, athletes, students and young people in general- I try to let them know being a good person and knowing you are doing what is right can only be rewarded.

There are people who don't know what they want... Jealous, Insecure, Unhappy- And sometimes they lose their path and make others feel bad, but just remember

For Christmas I was blessed with the best gift ever, Missy Moo- buns. This guy got me her. She's a miniature dwarf bunny. She has gotten so much bigger since when I first got her. She loves to drink water, she's a little fish/camel. She's got tons of spunk and personality. Moments of pure craziness but then she will climb into my lap and cuddle.

I have been a bad blogger

As you can see... my blogging skills have lacked ALOT.

But have no fear- I am going to keep up with this now. I've got a lot to say. I have been saying most of my feelings, dreams etc. on Twitter. But I am here to stay.

So Summer came and went quickly... working 4 jobs really was NOT ideal, but you do what you gotta do. Then Fall happened. Fall 2010 was probably one of the most challenging periods in my life. Between boyfriend, girlfriends, roommates, class, work and internship I wanted to scream. I felt like I was losing me in the midst of all the drama- and I did.

But since that day, I have been working hard to bring me back :)

I love my jobs now-- my coworkers make it all that much better.

I would be lost without my best friends, seriously. Learned and leaned on them during the most trying times.

I hate moving, but now I am happy. I love my new place and will not be moving out until June. Woohoo!

I know it has been too long since I last blogged... I'm going to start catching up.

So since the last post which was forever ago it seems like...

I finished up my Junior year at UCLA, moved out of the dorms (so sad, I miss my roomies already), moved home for 3 weeks and commuted everyday to UCLA, got 2 new jobs as a swim instructor & swim office administrator, moved back to Westwood, moved into the new apartment and now just trying to finish up this summer school class.

Spring Break started on Thursday at 6pm for me. I was so excited... My buddy Joe and I went to dinner and then Friday morning we went to breakfast. Then I got a call from a wonderful boy who asked me to go to his house in Newport for the weekend. I was more than obliged.

He came and got me and I spent the weekend with him and his family. I loved every minute of it. Even all the mexican food I was offered, I ate it with a smile. (I hate Mexican Food AlOT) We went shopping, basketball playing, beach sunning and just had so much fun.

I am really happy :)

The rest of the break is yet to come-- Lake Havasu for 3 days with a bunch of gals from Kappa. And a Bridal Shower for my sissy then a bachelorette party for my sissy too. Oh and I get to spend time with Riles :).

I am excited to soak up some sun, get a tan, have blond-er hair and quality girl time.

End of Winter Quarter

Which means many days of sun soaking, new history classes, birthdays galore, best friend leaving :(, sissy getting married, and end of Junior year.

I have learned that I don't like to talk about my problems, I like to let the stew until I break down. BAD idea, I know.

So, my life is in the works of completely changing... I am going to have to pick myself up and stay strong and take everyday with a new stride. Normally, I would scared out of my mind... but I am not, because I have such great friends here in LA. I love my friends from home, you know who you are besties... but I have been so lucky to bond with my girlfriends and boyfriends here that make me smile and just surround me with unconditional love.

Sometimes life is tough and all you want to do is stay cuddled in bed and pout... but I have learned it can only make you stronger to get out of bed and move on with your day.

This week has been crazy, Week 2 already and it is flying by!

My bed is so uncomfortable for some reason, I haven't been sleeping well.

Dumb boy hurt my feelings and my roommates have been doing everything in their power to make me happier... ie. singing songs to me at night.

I don't enjoy having to wear sandals to shower.

Went to the Men's Volleyball game, we lost... but there were cute boys all around. ;)

Been putting in time at Riley's just hanging out.

Made new friends on my hall, that are all so good to me...

I am considered the crazy one on this hall haha so my stories always get a laugh, which makes me laugh.

I miss Kerry June. But she is coming home soon. :)

I am going to live with Bree (roomie now) and Riley next year... 3rd is TBD.

Classes are soooo hard. UCLA you are kicking my bottom!

Trying to get a job, but 70 people applied... I shall see if I have a chance... but I got a 2nd interview, thats a good sign right?

Anybody want to do anything for Spring Break? I want to go somewhere!

2009: Seriously One of the Best Years (this post inspired by Kerry)

Brought in 2009 in Fontainebleu's office with LaNiece-(now one of my best friends, I like to think of her as my big sister). Spent 1/2 of the new year in Santa Barbara, going to Santa Barbara City College. Enjoying the life of having a great boyfriend. June rolled around and it was decided I was going to Europe with my best friend Kerry June. It was sad to leave Alex at home and we ended up breaking up (Sad, but I needed to grow) I grew up so much. Traveling the world was amazing. I made 2 new best friends for life, Nathan Gunn and Blake Brown. The four of us had an amazing time together, got to know each other a little too much ;). Came home to start off a new school year at a new school with a new living arrangement. 2 roommates in a small room. Our "Hampster cage" Kelly & Bree have only begun to get used to my crazy thoughts and boy problems. I love that I can still in 2010 vent to them. I made 2 other new best girl friends, Kel bel and Riley. Both wonderful girls that I met while rushing for a sorority. Oh yeah, I am a Kappa Kappa Gamma. It sounds lame but this year has brought so many good people into my life. I got Baptised in the Church of Latter day Saints. It was a great day, never to be forgotten. I was able to mend my friendships with many, even Alex after I broke up with him. I am so excited to see what 2010 is going to bring for me and I'm recognizing now how lucky I am to have such great people in my life.

Many moons ago... I got a quote book from Ker and these are some guidelines to a life I want to live:

1. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

2. Marry a man you loe to talk to. As you get older, their conversation skills will be as important as any other.

3. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

4. When you say "I love you," mean it.

5. When you say "I'm Sorry," look the person in the eye.

8. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams, don't have much.

9. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

13. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask "Why do you want to know?"

As some of you may know... my family is very extended. My mom was married before she was married to my dad... to Steve. They had Lindsay, my sister. But then they divorced and Steve was remarried to Kathy, who had her son Chris. And here's the different part... One of my mom's best friends is Kathy. So... we are basically one BIG happy family. And Lindsay's cousins Dana and Sean are part of the crew of kids, too. This past weekend we had a family gathering and took tons of pictures. Here is my family... no matter how odd it may be.

It was so special having all of my closest friends and family there to support me. The talks that Kerry, Blake and Ashley (I know it was special Ash!) gave were so kind and I couldn't ask for better friends.

The old gang (minus a few essentials) went to the beach at Leo Carillo. We just went and hung out and played in a water a little and just talked about our lives.

Kerry, Nate, Chris and I went to Hard Fest! It was a whole bunch of fun until my leg got thrown up on... but besides that... I loved Justice and everyone else that played! We danced the night away! It was definitely a Halloween to remember!

Dad's Day

I have been busy... so busy to the point of leaving out blogging about life. So here's a quick update...

I love UCLA. There is so much to offer there it is absolutely amazing! It's bittersweet though because I want to be involved in everything.

Right now I am in KKG (a Sorority), House government as birthday chair, a club called Challah for Hunger (we bake Challah and sell it for money for Darfur), Club swimming oh and class of course.

I love being involved and getting to know so many people. But I hate my classes... They are so boring! I am not too interested in them right now, hoping it gets better within the weeks to come.

I have made so many new friends... Ill have to blog about each one individually one day.

I switched dorm rooms already! I moved just across the bathroom into Bree and Kelly's room. It should be so much fun now all of us living together.

Kappa is so great. Everyone is so nice and smiles and waves to your on campus, it feels good to have people there for you even if you aren't the best of friends.

I have been going to church, trying to get involved but the ward is so weird in LA... but it'll just take some getting used to.

I haven't done laundry in 2 weeks, gross I know... so I am home tonight doing all my laundry and catching up on some much needed rest.

I promise to blog more about life instead of a quick mass life update!

Best friend

My best friend and I go to different schools and are separated by hundreds of miles but lately I have felt like she is right here with me.

Lately, when I am missing her I just pick up the phone (daily, mind you) and give her a call. After living together for nearly 2 months its hard not knowing each other's daily lives. BUT I have to say we have done a beautiful job of filling each other in on every little detail.

Today I realized there is nothing better than being able to call up your best friend and dish about life. Anything, the ups, the downs, the exciting and the not-so exciting. I love being able to just have someone listen or be super excited on the other end of the phone.

So I have to say... call you best friend and dish about life... You'll be surprised how its just like being next to her.

A Kappa Kappa Gamma

So, who would have thought I would ever be a sorority girl, right?! But I rushed... and all of my long days standing in the heat acting like a lady paid off...

I am now a Kappa Kappa Gamma!

I am so fortunate to have a good experience within rush and have such support from my family and even more so my friends... I know it sounds cheesy but I could not have done it with out them.

And... it made my day even more special when my roomies put up signs outside of my dorm telling me to come into the room.... I get there and knock and I hear them giggling... They open the door and boom! there is confetti everywhere and they are wearing signs saying they love me and congrats on kkg.

I am so lucky to have great people surrounding me.

Went to my first UCLA game tonight. It was fun but gosh everything was so expensive.. and of course the moment I got there I was starving. It was fun to go with Breann, Kelly and Britteny to the game and see all of the school spirit. I'll admit I am not the first to be screaming at a game, but with these games I really don't think you can ignore it haha.

It was fun to learn the songs and cheers. I got one of the cool Den Shirts that only UCLA students get for sitting in the Den. Oh and by the way the seats we got were great! I felt I was right there on the field.

Pure deliciousness... but pain in the butt to make!
I decided last night at 9PM I was going to make some home-made cinnamon rolls for my family to enjoy on Sunday morning. I start making them and me and my bad luck comes in. The dough came out super sticky and ugh it was a pain.. but mom came to the rescue and helped salvage the dough.

Here is the recipe I think it was a good experience.. because the last time I made them was in 7th grade cooking class!
My tip: Add a litte more cinnamon!

Today it has been 8 years since our country faced one of its biggest hardships. I think it's one of those days that you will always remember exactly where you were and what you were doing when you heard the news...
I think about that moment every year and I take it as an opportunity to remember the people who lost their lives that day.

Last night was my first night in California by myself. I have to say it was a rather boring one. I am missing my Euro trip and friends more than ever. I think it is because I went living with them for 8 weeks to not at all.

Visiting a place where you used to live can bring back some of the best and worst memories. This past week I have been in Utah, Yes an extension to my Euro trip. I drove there with Kerry to move her into her new apartment back in Provo... where we used to live together. It was so weird driving through my "old stomping grounds." It was a great week. We spent it with Nate, Blake, Grayson and old friends. It was fun to visit, eat some of my favorite foods and laugh the night away.

It makes it hard to know I left Provo now that all my friends are there... but I can always visit right?! Or better yet they can visit me!

I have lost touch with the blogging world in the past 8 weeks due to my constant traveling. I feel terrible, although I amnot sure too many people read it. haha.

Well I must say Europe was a dream come true. I haven't had so much fun in my life. I feel unbelievably blessed to have been able to take the trip and to go with such wonderful people. Kerry and I have always been close, but this trip brought us together. Nate and Blake have become friends of mine that I will keep forever.

Made it to Europe!

So we made it...
Got into Madrid on Tuesday morning... experienced Madrid... Ker and I both agree it is not our favorite place at all! Horrible food, people were not helpful, and not that i expect everyone to speak english but we never encountered anyone speaking english...
Took the train to San Sebastian... oh it is beautiful. I have found the place I was to retire to! haha. It is a little beach town... what I love about it is that we can walk everywhere.. everyone is so nice and seems to be helpful.
Ker and I have laid out here and tried getting our tan on... but we are still white girls.
Last night we met up with Ker´s friend Kaitlyn. It was so much fun... we got to meet all of her friends and we all ate dinner and hung out until midnight. We are going to meet them in Barcelona, and I am really excited.
This morning I am up before Ker... as usual haha and waiting until our train at 1045 for barcelona.. it is a 9 hour train ride... can you believe that? But it´ll be fine.. I will most likely fall asleep or something.
Oh our hostel in San Sebastian is nice, clean and fun. The woman who runs it is so nice. She has been helpful to Ker and I from day 1. I definitely recommend sm31 backpackers hostel to anyone!
So we will be in barcelona for 4 days then its off to London!!!

Leaving for Europe!

My bags are packed and I'm ready to go! I can't believe it has finally come time to leave for Europe! Ker and I are going to have a blast and then meet up with Nathan and Blake and have even more fun!

Europe is around the corner

So...Europe is in 3 days, can you believe it? I know I can't! I am so excited but of course have the little butterflies. My parents left for their vacation, which unfortunately overlaps with mine, so I won't be able to see them before I leave... I think that sucks, but I know they are having fun in Yellowstone etc. Alex is saying "Oh, I take it back, please don't go" and I just say "Now wait a minute you were the one encouraging me to go more than anyone else!!" I am really excited, Ker and I are going to have a blast!

Stanford & San Francisco

Last weekend Alex's family and I made a road trip up to Northern California. Alex's older sister, Aislyn, flew out from Boston and Claire is at Stanford this summer so we all were able to get together!

I had such a great time, Montsi, Alex's mom put alot of effort into making this trip fun and she definitely succeeded. We ate at the most delicious restaurants... my favorite was Boudin Bakery, it is where all the delicious sourdough is made!

We toured Alcatraz, walked across the golden gate bridge, toured Stanford, toured Berkeley, saw in bison in golden gate park, ate chocolate at ghirardelli and walked across fisherman's wharf.

It was fun to see everyone and just hang out with family.

For years I have been friends with Ashley, Kerry & Reilly. Last night we decided to have a sleepover just us girls (plus, derek for a little while). We went to dinner at Cheesecake, had the weirdest waiter ever, went to Cody's, took pictures in the whimsical garden, danced the night away on Reilly's 2nd floor and eventually passed out to Sex & the City.

I couldn't ask for better girlfriends because we really are different in our own unique way which brings life to our friendship!

Just a quick update on what I have been doing:

Visiting with Cousins. Getting fried by the pool. Thinking about how I should pack early and be prepared for Europe, but haven't done anything to move forward in those thoughts. Painted pictures with Alex. Celebrated the 4th at Kerry's with friends. Saw My Sister's Keeper, Milk, Ghost of Girlfriends Past and Role Models. Ate wonderful Italian food in Burbank. Saw Alex's new apartment, it's huge! Fighting off a Sinus infection. Orientation at UCLA. Signed up for classes. Singing Michael Jackson songs. Enjoying summer.

Sunburn CURE!

With Summer inevitably comes sunburns! I have grown up with the nickname "whitey" and there have been a few summer where I have turned that name into "tomato." This year though Alex's mom introduced me to Noxzema. After you get burned (which you really should avoid doing in the first place, but just in case...) rub some of the Noxzema onto your burn and you'll feel so much better. And I have discovered over the years that Aloe Vera makes me peel and Noxzema DOES NOT!

Go and buy a tub and keep it in your stash to make sure you at least get a tan out of the burn you suffered from!

Maid of Honor

I don't think I have previously blogged about my sister getting engaged to Matt... So here it is LINDSAY IS ENGAGED!

But today... Her and I went out to look for a dress for another wedding she has to attend later on this month. We went shopping and to lunch. At lunch Linds asked me to be her maid of honor! I am very excited and hope I can live up to the name. The wedding is in May 2010 so we have a while to figure everything out...

But yes, I am going to have to go through my sister choosing a dress, flowers etc. Which I would have before, but now I must do it with a big smile and no complaints. ;).

Home for summer until Europe!

I am (slightly) unpacked and sleeping in my bed. I hate moving, did I mention that? I have so much stuff, it ALMOST encourages me not to buy anymore stuff. I gave away 5 bags to Salvation Army of my old clothes, purses and other odds and ends. My small 10x10 room is becoming closed in by all of my stuff! And I have come to the realization that moving into a triple dorm room with definitely test my abilities of storage!

Conquered one of my silly fears

Ever since "surf shops" came into my life, I have not been able to walk into one without feeling intimidated! So, if you know me really well I will do anything to avoid them and not go in.

My reasoning for this "feeling" is because every time without fail when I walk into those stores every employee just seems to be burning their eyes into me AND they never approach me to help me with getting stuff down etc. I hate it! So yesterday, Alex needed to get some new board shorts and he had gift cards to Revolution. Previously, I never had a hard time going in there as long as Jeremy was working and Kerry was with me! But I had to venture into the surf shop world of intimidation and I lived! I actually had a pleasant experience... I didn't feel stared at by everyone and the guy working was SUPER helpful... actually a little overwhelming (but that's better than not!).

So maybe I will shop more at surf shops but doubt it!

Today I got a call from my mom saying that I won a scholarship! It is great news to hear seeing as college is so expensive and I worked really hard this past year to get the scholarship! So yay! Thank you to CGA!

So today is the day I move out of Fontainebleu, my home for the past 9 months. Everything is boxed up and packed in the car. Last night Alex said isn't it weird this is your last night sleeping in this bed... and I hadn't really thought about it, but now that I am it is! I definitely was given a run for my money working here and experiencing everything that I did. But one thing I will take with me is my great friendships. I have been lucky enough to get along with everyone I worked with this year and even made best friends! I am excited to go to UCLA but I will definitely miss this place... but thanks for a good school year!
