Dawes "Love Is All I Am"

I find this song holds more wisdom than many:

"I need a silent true-way to admire.
Like you as a sunset, and I as a wildfire.
And I can let the day go...

I've locked up these words, in fear that I'd say them wrong.
Is it love as a mountain, or love as a simple song?
And the moment that the two meet
has now laid itself at your feet.

And love is not convenient; it does not cease at your command.
You might take and leave it, but love is all I am.
Love is all I am.

I need a boundless, soft way to commend
Like you as a temper, and I as it's tender end.
And however long your fits last
I will live within your shadow cast.

And love is still your stranger; it does not respect how much you'll stand
You might be love's reminder, but love is all I am.
Love is all am.

I need a graceful, proud way to let go
To smile and accept the things that you don't know
The losses and the gains blurred
The weight of these as last words

And love is not excitement; it's not kissing, or holding hands
I'm not some assignment; no, love is all I am
Love is all I am.
Love is all I am."

Bambs Birthday

So, again I am late, but this past Saturday was Andrew's (aka Bambs) 20th Birthday.
I made sure to decorate and bake cupcakes for the big day and boy.
Bambs, you are such an important person in my life. And I hope you had the best birthday ever.
Love ya always.

Momma

I know I am late on putting this post together-- but BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!
Happy Mother's Day to my mom. I know we disagree on a lot of things, and are different but I admire all that she does. She is one of the strongest women I know and is the next Martha Stewart.
I love you momma.

My second mom is Kathy. She is my mom's ex husbands wife and has been there through all the monumental times in my life. She is sweet, loving and always has a fun way to look at things.
Love you Kathy!

Fairytale

She looked like a dream. So classy, so beautiful, practically perfect in every way.

What I am dreaming of lately...

I want the Nike Free(s?) but in white with pink accents, unfortunately they are considered "CUSTOM" and are unavailable to order :(
And... the Iphone.. I need a new one, mines all cracked.. but in due time.

Being 22

I thought big things happened when you turned 22... But really that's not exactly true. I don't feel any different but it is weird to say "Ya, I'm 22 years old." Kind of makes me feel too old for college.
I spent this special day not doing anything really out of the ordinary except having a delicious dinner. Andrew and I went to one of the CLASSIC O'Connor Family faves, Carney's. It's a fun place to go because it is in West Hollywood for one, but also because you dine in a
TRAIN! It is not exactly healthy, but it is delicious with the grease and all.
After lunch we went and got some carmel apples from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Westwood... It is one of my favorites but is often forgotten by many I think because it is kind of hidden among the bigger restaurants surrounding it.
With our carmel apples stuffed into my purse, we snuck them into the movie "Soul Surfer." It was about Bethany Hamilton, a courageous girl who makes me want to forget my fear of sharks (yeah right!) It was pretty good, but let me tell you Carrie Underwood... CANNOT act!
After the movie we jetted over across town to Santa Monica for our reservation at BOA Steakhouse. It was SOOOOO good. We both got the filet and shared a side of mashed potatoes, then they came out with a sparkly dessert which we ate immediately. (If you are looking for a FREE dessert for your birthday, go there!)
It was nice to get all the phone calls and texts and of course Facebook notices of people wishing me a happy day.
I still have yet to celebrate with my family--- I hope my mom cooks!

I'm Obsessed

I love these things. Amanda introduced me to them. The Sally Hansen stick on nails.
